The Atonement is REAL

What a great week.

This week we had a devotional with all the missionaries in the world. We had the chance to hear from the Apostles and 70s about how we can be better missionaries. We could feel the spirit and it was a great experience to see all the friends from the mission. We watched in the church by the temple.

This week we had an amazing opportunity to see the Atonement of Christ in action. We have a few members and investigators that have problems with some commandments and we were able to bare testimony of how the Atonement will help them in there lives and help them move their very nature. And they started to cry. It was an amazing experience to see the people so moved by the spirit and how Christ is here to help us all :)

I love you all I know that Christ lives. He is here to remove the pain from our lives. He loves us. And takes care of us. If we could see how much he does for us EVERY day we would be shocked. :)

I love you all.

Take advantage of the time you have, it passes fast.

A Bit Confusing

This week was a great week. We had the chance to do some great things. We also see many things that are shocking, humbling, and saddening.

This week we taught some young men that are Bruno's friends. They are Lucas, Mateus, and Diego. We were able to share the message of the restoration with them and bare our testimonies to them. We also marked them to be baptized at the end of the month. Lucas is the most excited and certain to be baptized. He is 17 and a stud. He loves to come to church, and learn, he can feel the spirit and he knows that the church is true. We are currently in the process to help him stop smoking, he has smoked since he was 12. He currently smokes 2 or 3 per day, so it will be easy for him to stop.

Something that always amazes me is the faith of the people that we teach. They are so strong to leave behind the bad habits they have, and go forward with faith, not knowing everything, but knowing that they will be blessed. I hope that we can also do this, have the faith to keep the commandments even when we aren't sure. God will help and strengthen us.

We also had interviews with President this week. We were able to talk to him about our zone, and also about our lives as missionaries and also as people. He is awesome and helps us out. He talked about how in these last 8 or so months I need to continue work hard and help the people out.

The mission is an incredible place, I hope all that are in doubt or concern, will rely on faith in the lord; he will help you out and strengthen you.

The church is true, read the scriptures, they will help you out. :)

In Brazil it is often times difficult to find homes. As you can see by the address numbers, it can be a bit confusing!

You know you're poor when you have to use your broken watch as a clock:)

Week 2 in the Rosas

Well this week was a stelar one. We had great chances to do many things.

On Tuesday we had mission counsel with all the LZ, Presidente showed us the things that he wants the mission to learn, and why we need to lead by example. This week me and Aguiar really focused on being an example for our zone. We were determined and talked with tons of people in the street. We worked hard to help the people that we are teaching feel the spirit and come to church with us. We used the members that we have and were able to see the results of our work. We had many people that came to church.

One of these people is a girl named Jenifer. She is 13 and a friend of a member. She was very closed at the start, and by the end of the meetings she was smiling and talking with everyone. She was able to feel the spirit and opened up. We are helping her and her family but only she came to church. Her baptismal date is coming up, we will work with her so that she can have more and more confidence about her baptism and that she can help her family also come to church.

We also are teaching Bruno's parents who are awesome people. We are helping them stop drinking beer and coffee. Most people drink coffee here, and also normally drink a few cans on the weekend. We are helping them realize the importance of following the commandments of God. They came to church and loved it. We will work hard this week so that they can overcome the addictions that they have.

Here in our area life is good. Life as a ZL is different then a DL. We have to have more responsibility, and have to take care of all the missionaries. We follow the work of the other elders so they can work well, and help the people come unto Christ.

We have an incredible area. The people are so friendly, it is a humble area. There are so many people that are willing to talk to us. It just comes to our desire to serve God. If we have the desire to help people, God will help us serve with great force. I know that God loves us, he wants us to be happy, he wants us to be successful.

Look for spiritual moments every day, and God will help you in your life. Go to the Temple, Read the scriptures, love everyone. Everyone fights a battle, the least we can do is fight with them and not against them.
I love you all,

Life in the Rose Garden

Here in Jardim das Rosas its all well. I am getting used to all the new stuff, the new people, the area, the ward, and it is always good to change. Here is a great area, that has lots of potential for baptisms and growth. We all know that The Lord has a plan for us and wants us to be happy, and we can be happy in all situations that we find ourselves.

Jardim das Rosas
Here with Elder Aguiar I will have another chance to "matar" or be the last comp of someone. He is a little less trunky then my other companion. So we will work hard.

The four elders in our apartment.
Elder Aguiar and transfer pizza.
Here in the ward they Baptized a guy named Bruno. He is awesome, he is 19 and loves the church. He was baptized in 2 weeks time, and now visits the people with us almost everyday. He is truly converted to the Lord and wants the others to know what he knows. He has a young and powerful testimony. My question for you all, do we have the same desire to share the gospel.

Bruno and Elder Aguiar
This is Bruno, he was a crazy dude, he drank, used drugs, and graffitied the walls this art is curtisy of him, so we took a pic to remember the change that can come over a person.

This week was a week to know the area, and we had a lot of rain- it rained almost every day this week, I had to buy a new umbrella, and already broke again,,,,, got to love the rain and wind :)

In my study this week I read a verse that I loved.
"for the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh"
Lucas 6:45

We need to be careful what our hearts are desiring, because we will speak what we really desire. Take care it your words and actions, God will help you keep pure.

I love you all, and wish you all a Good 2016:)
